The Liverpool Sound of The Royals (Monumental)

Once in a while you come across a record that surprises you , I would put this one in that category. The Royals "Your Sweet Love" is a great uncomped garage classic. Outstanding record!

  4. Michael, The record label shows Monumental records was in Baltimore Maryland. I'm assuming the group from that region of the United States, but to answer your question I really don't know. Sorry.

  5. Michael, One more thing I failed to mention. Joey Welz who produced this record also produced other Baltimore area garage bands such as the Night Walkers, the Fabulous Monarchs, the Amoebas, the Rysing Suns, the Road Runners, the Beggars, and the Executioners all which appear on the Baltimore's Teen Beat A Go Go compilation album that was originally released in 1966

  7. Thanks MTM for clearing that up, I appreciate that very much. I have another record I featured on the blog by the Count IV on the Deville label, do you have any information on them? I was guessing it was from 1966. Again thank you for your comments.

  8. What a hoot to see this record featured in your blog. It was indeed released in 1964 by the Salisbury, MD based Royal's band of which my husband was a member. The members were all local; two from Salisbury, two from Delmar, Md and one from Frankford, DE.
