Great two sider Johnnie. Thanks for posting.Coming here daily now.
Hi Philo It's an enjoyable 45 to listen too, a nice garage gem, that's for sure. Thank you for your comments.
.. outstanding indeed! any idea where these Royals hailed from....?greetings!
Michael, The record label shows Monumental records was in Baltimore Maryland. I'm assuming the group from that region of the United States, but to answer your question I really don't know. Sorry.
Michael, One more thing I failed to mention. Joey Welz who produced this record also produced other Baltimore area garage bands such as the Night Walkers, the Fabulous Monarchs, the Amoebas, the Rysing Suns, the Road Runners, the Beggars, and the Executioners all which appear on the Baltimore's Teen Beat A Go Go compilation album that was originally released in 1966
The Royals were from Salisbury, Maryland, the disc was released in '64.
Thanks MTM for clearing that up, I appreciate that very much. I have another record I featured on the blog by the Count IV on the Deville label, do you have any information on them? I was guessing it was from 1966. Again thank you for your comments.
What a hoot to see this record featured in your blog. It was indeed released in 1964 by the Salisbury, MD based Royal's band of which my husband was a member. The members were all local; two from Salisbury, two from Delmar, Md and one from Frankford, DE.
Hello BarbieThank you for your comments and for the additional info about the group. I would love to learn more about the band. Email me at email@example.com
